RCF VSA 850 II – Class D active vertical digitally controlled loudspeaker with multiband amplification.
The VSA 850 II is a vertically driven multi-amp array with 8 3.5″ speakers. The RCF VSA sound column is capable of accurately directing sound into the listening area. Using proprietary RDNet software, the user can control the radiation pattern by controlling the width and tilt of the sound beam, which allows you to accurately sound the required spaces. This is implemented using an integrated DSP, which introduces micro-delays to the signals coming to different speakers. This is especially important in acoustically complex halls with high reverberation, where extra reflections from walls, floors or ceilings can be critical. The aluminum body of the column is ideally combined with any interior design solutions and can be painted in any color on request according to RAL. In addition to the standard mounting included in the kit, there is a hinged bracket that allows you to rotate the column in a horizontal plane. VSA columns are configured and controlled using RDNet software. A VSA-RC module is also available, which connects to a mobile phone and gives the user limited control functionality via the VSA REMOTE app.
FRAME
The extruded aluminum housing is durable, easy to assemble and blends well with any interior. Standard colors are white RAL 9003 and black RAL 9005. The housing can also be painted in a custom RAL color. The aluminum chassis allows for a modular approach to complex system design and dissipates heat evenly. The front grille is acoustically transparent and looks aesthetically pleasing. Installation is easy due to the presence of a template for drilling mounting holes and light weight. If necessary, you can fix the speaker system horizontally, additional fasteners are available for order.
CONNECTION PANEL
Connection connectors are located on the panel at the bottom of the column and are protected by a special plastic screen. Audio sources can be connected independently via the two balanced Priority and Aux inputs. The Priority connector is equipped with thermally fused ceramic terminals for trouble-free operation of the alarm system. The Data Link port allows control and monitoring using RDNet software, the Monitoring port for remote troubleshooting.
AUDIO CONTROL WINDOW
Two audio channels are available: the Priority channel, which, when the priority function is activated, takes priority over the AUX channel. DSP allows you to set a delay between different speakers or groups of speakers. The delay is set not in seconds, but in meters (from 0 to 99 meters in steps of 3 meters). Polarity (phase) control is useful for minimizing destructive interference depending on the particular speaker location.
DIRECT OR NETWORK CONTROL
Each VSA II column can be controlled separately directly from a PC using a USB to RS-485 converter. Or network control for two or more VSA columns is possible, which is organized using the Control2 or Control8 interfaces.
EQUALIZATION
You can choose from six equalizer presets, three of which are user-configurable.
- Flat – no equalization;
- Speech – equalization optimized for speech;
- Music – equalization optimized for music;
- Custom 1 – 2 – 3 – three user presets, eight filters are available for customization.
