VSA 2050 II
The VSA 2050 II represents one of RCF’s latest applications in digital audio technology – a column-mounted active loudspeaker with separately powered speakers to create a vertically controllable sound field. The sound can thus be directed exactly into the listening area to eliminate unwanted reflections from the ceiling and floor that would affect speech intelligibility, especially in environments with critical reverberation time. A powerful multi-channel DSP controls twenty 50 W Class D amplifiers simultaneously, powering 20 speakers with optimal headroom.
The state-of-the-art loudspeakers developed for the VSA II series offer the highest intelligibility and a wide frequency range in accordance with the RCF philosophy. The remarkable dynamic range of the medium frequency band is possible thanks to the magnetic induction of up to 1.4 T neodymium magnet, which is very light and contributes to the compactness of the entire system.
The system includes several protections and controls for operation in emergency mode. The switching power supply module is connected to the DSP to check the voltage, current and temperature status data. It works in 115/230 V AC and 24 DC modes as a backup power source and has active protection against overvoltage and overcurrent. The inconspicuous and robust aluminum cabinet easily fits aesthetically into any space. As standard, the speaker box is delivered in black or white, on request it can be ordered in a different color.
The Reprobox is ideal for emergency address applications and is very easy to install. If it is to be installed horizontally, optional swivel brackets can be ordered. A safe and stable connection is ensured by a plastic cover under the column. If the loudspeakers are not part of the evacuation sound system, a remote switching device is available to prevent switching on and off by means of electrical switches.
Thanks to the detection of the presence of a signal, the speaker can be automatically switched off when it is not in use. It is fully compatible with the RDNet protocol, which allows the loudspeaker to be monitored and controlled over the network (volume, delay – for maximum clarity of decentralized sound, fixed and user-adjustable equalization presets and others. However, RDNet is not intended only for separate loudspeakers – it allows sophisticated control of parameters and routing multiple RCF devices to configure sound systems from small to the largest arenas. The VSA Reproboxes can also be remotely controlled via smartphone via the VSA Remote App compatible with iOS or Android OS.
