SQM Rental House presents the Mipro ACT-848 professional digital receiver. Equipped with two antennas, the four-channel receiver works in the UHF 5F band (540-604MHz), and the frequency response is in the range of 20 to 20,000 hertz (-2dB). Other features that make the 24-bit receiver stand out are low latency (2.7ms), a sampling rate of 44.1kHz, or total harmonic distortion of 0.03% (1kHz).
On the front panel, as like as on ACT-828, there is a headphone jack with a diameter of 6.3 millimeters and a volume control knob. There are also four LEDs that indicate the selected channel. Nextly, there are four fluorescent displays that show detailed parameters – one for each channel. On the right side of the displays, there are channel selection buttons, the ACT button synchronizing the receiver with the transmitter, and a function knob.
The rear panel offers two TNC (50Ω) antenna connectors, an “output” section, and a “digital” section. The first of them consists of four symmetrical XLR (three-pin) outputs and switches, thanks to which it is possible to change the operating mode between line and microphone. In the “digital” section there are two BNC connectors that synchronize digital-signal-devices (Wordclock) and two XLR outputs for digital audio transmission. Other elements of the rear panel are, i.a., RJ11 input/output, thanks to which you can connect to a computer, a connector for parallel DC power supply (12-15V), or an effective fan.
Mipro ACT-848 is nicely finished with a steel housing that weighs 2.6kg. The dimensions of a receiver allow mounting in a rack shelf (1U). SQM Multimedia Support also recommends the Mipro ACT-80T bodypack transmitter or the Mipro ACT-80H hand-held microphone with which the four-channel Mipro ACT-848 works perfectly.
